Musician Jeff Campbell Stands Apart

Public Market’s monthly Market Beats series treats visitors to a free live concert from the region’s most talented emerging musicians. We’re talking artists who have, oh, appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live, for example.

And that’s just one road-stop made by August’s Market Beats performer Jeff Campbell. Campbell’s onstage experiences have taken him throughout the country countless times. Jeff has shared stages with members of Counting Crows, The Grateful Dead and opened for Train.

The singer-songwriter from San Francisco exploded onto the music scene when he was crowned winner of Guitar Center’s National Singer Songwriter Competition out of over 13,000 entrants. His debut 2013 Release, “In Spite of Everything,” was produced by six-time Grammy Winner John Shanks and premiered at #1 on the iTunes rock EPs and singles charts.

Whether picking his treasured Martin dreadnought acoustic or rocking out on electric with a Telecaster, Jeff commands the audience’s attention. Glide Magazine put it this way: “Campbell’s songs don’t rely on gimmicks or flash to be good. They don’t need a massive production backing to get the listener’s attention. They count on our desire to find a connection, and they reward us for taking the time to listen.”

According to New York Minute Magazine, “His roots run far and wide, spanning from Louisiana blues to California swagger.” Jeff was brought up in a musical family with constant exposure to artists from the last six decades. His influences have resulted in a songwriting style with a mix of raw rock and winding lyrical melodies.

We hope you’ll join us at Market Beats on August 11th for an evening of great music, delicious food and your friends at Public Market!
