Earth Day was first celebrated in 1970. Since then, the environmental movement has grown by leaps and bounds. It’s no longer seen as fringe to be green – it’s a part of everyday life. Earth Day is coming up on Monday, April 22nd, though many organizations celebrate it throughout the month.
Emeryville will be celebrating with a beach clean-up on the Sunday before Earth Day.
